Folks ****** Proposition #5 and Proposition #10 for Californians to vote on this Nov. 6, 2018 are very important to the Protection of Homeownership! A "Yes" vote on Prop. #5 means that a Homeowner, 55 years or older, can Transfer their current Property Tax Base to any other county within the whole state of California. Right now there are only a few counties that allow this transfer.
It also protects Severely Disable Homeowners and the Families effected by a Natural Disaster.  So if you sell your home and your property tax was 1.1% when you purchased it and buy a new home. You will be able to transfer that 1.1% property tax to that new purchase. ****** Proposition #10 will allow external government entities to dictate how much you will be allowed to charge when renting out your property and even how much you can charge when renting out a room in your home. .
